QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR

The Quick Access Toolbar is a part of the ribbon menu. It is a customisable toolbar that contains a set of commands that are independent of the ribbon tab that is currently displayed.

If you find yourself using the same indicators or drawing tools constantly then you may want to add them to the Quick Access Toolbar for quick easy use. You may also like to add your indicator templates to this toolbar.

This toolbar can be moved to another location and you can minimise the entire ribbon if required.

Where is the Quick Access Toolbar

By default the Quick Access Toolbar is located above the ribbon, however this will depend on what Layout EzyChart is using.

In the Layout group on the Preferences tab of the ribbon menu you are given three choices. These are:

  • Modern Layout - this is the default layout. It displays the ribbon maximised with the Quick Access Toolbar above it.

  • Classic Layout - this layout mimics old versions of EzyChart. It minimises the ribbon so only the tab headings are displayed and it moves the Quick Access Toolbar below it. It also adds buttons (two-letter acronyms) for all the indicators.

  • Custom Layout - the layout will switch to this mode if you add or remove buttons from the modern or classic layouts.

Note: if the button you have selected is a drop-down menu button that displays a group of choices (like the Add Indicators button on the Indicators tab) then the entire gallery menu will be added to the toolbar.

Add Indicator Template buttons

Indicator templates are indicators that you have saved as a template. This is achieved using the Save Active button from the Templates group in the Advanced tab on the ribbon.

  1. On the Quick Access Toolbar click the down-arrow to display a menu. Then click More Commands... to display the Customize window.
