 Error 1060 in EzyChart
Problem: When opening files in EzyChart a 'EzyFileDll Error 1060' error appears on your screen.

Ezy Error1060

Solution: This error is due to your files being write protected. This generally occurs if you have restored your data from a backup CD-ROM. Anything copied from a CD-ROM is write protected as you can't edit files once they are put on CD-ROM (ROM = Read Only Memory). To stop this error from occurring you need to take the write protection off. If you are a BodhiGold user you can do this easily using the software, if not you can do this using Microsoft® File Explorer.

    Removing Write Protection using BodhiGold:
  1. Open BodhiGold.
  2. Select Options from the Edit drop-down menu.
  3. From the General tab, place a tick in the Debug File Create option.
  4. Exit the Options dialog box.
  5. Connect to the Internet and click the Catchup button.
  6. Click OK to the Debug Mode message.
  7. This will take the write-protection from your EzyChart files. When finished, go back into the Options menu and remove the tick from Debug File Create.
Removing Write Protection using Microsoft® File Explorer:
  1. Open Microsoft® File Explorer (Start>Accessories>Windows Explorer).
  2. Navigate to your EzyChart data directory.
  3. Select the symbols that are write-protected. If all the files in the directory are write-protected you can select them all be choosing Select All from the Edit drop-down menu.
  4. Right-click on one of the files to display a menu.

    Ezy Files Properties

  5. Select Properties.
  6. Take the tick out of the Read-only box then click Apply.

Ezy Files Properties - Read Only

  7. This has taken the write protection from your files. You can now open them in EzyChart and update them with BodhiGold.
