| Error 1060 in EzyChart |
|
Problem:
When opening files in EzyChart a 'EzyFileDll Error 1060' error appears on your screen.
Solution:
This error is due to your files being write protected. This generally occurs if you have restored your data from a backup CD-ROM. Anything copied from a CD-ROM is write protected as you can't edit files once they are put on CD-ROM (ROM = Read Only Memory). To stop this error from occurring you need to take the write protection off. If you are a BodhiGold user you can do this easily using the software, if not you can do this using Microsoft® File Explorer.
Removing Write Protection using BodhiGold:
- Open BodhiGold.
- Select Options from the Edit drop-down menu.
- From the General tab, place a tick in the Debug File Create option.
- Exit the Options dialog box.
- Connect to the Internet and click the Catchup button.
- Click OK to the Debug Mode message.
- This will take the write-protection from your EzyChart files. When finished, go back into the Options menu and remove the tick from Debug File Create.
Removing Write Protection using Microsoft® File Explorer:
- Open Microsoft® File Explorer (Start>Accessories>Windows Explorer).
- Navigate to your EzyChart data directory.
- Select the symbols that are write-protected. If all the files in the directory are write-protected you can select them all be choosing Select All from the Edit drop-down menu.
- Right-click on one of the files to display a menu.
- Select Properties.
- Take the tick out of the Read-only box then click Apply.
- This has taken the write protection from your files. You can now open them in EzyChart and update them with BodhiGold.
