 Configuring BodhiGold for EzyChart V. 4.02+
EzyChart Versions 4.02 or greater use the .ezy format. This format was added to version 4.0.1.2 of BodhiGold. If you are using a version of EzyChart that is lower than 4.02, please refer to these instructions.

With one download, BodhiGold will create and update the EzyChart (.ezy) files you need to view charts. You can trial BodhiGold for 32-days with no obligation by visiting this page. Please follow the installation instructions on the download page.

    These instructions will take you through two processes:
  • Configuring BodhiGold to use the EzyChart data format.
  • Opening a chart in EzyChart.

    Configure BodhiGold for EzyChart
  1. Start BodhiGold, by doing the following:
    Start Bar in Microsoft Windows Start > Programs > Infosoft > BodhiGold > Freeway
  2. Select your closest Region from the drop-down box, then click x.

  3. Select your Nearest city from the drop-down box, then click x.
  4. Select your Charting Software - EzyStation (EZY) or EzyChart (EZY) [not EzyChart (PCE)] from the drop-down box, then click x.
  5. A dialog box will appear explaining how BodhiGold has been setup. This box includes information on your location, data selection, charting software and database directories. Take note of this information.
  6. Click OK to test the software.
  7. The registration screen will appear. At the bottom of this screen it will tell you how many days you have left to trial the software. If you have purchased the software, email or telephone (07 3821 5177) JustData with the Installation Code. You will then be given your personalised Registration User and Code. Exit the screen by clicking the x.
  8. By default you have been set-up for market close ASX Equities & Indexes. You will need to contact us to get permission for other markets and/or services (eg. Intraday data, New York or London Exchange etc.)
  9. Click the Configure button.
  10. The following instructions will show you how to fetch up to 6-months historical data:
    1. Click on the + next to Australia.
    2. Click on the + next to Australian Stock Exchange.
    3. Click on Equity.
    4. Put the Imported and Exported dates back 6-months.
    5. Exit the Product Manager screen.
  11. Exit the Module Manager screen.
  12. By default, BodhiGold will update your ASX Ezy data to a c:\Program Files\EzyCompany\EzyStation\Client\Data\Ezy\ASX directory. If this is your default folder skip to step 13, otherwise this needs to be changed now. To do this:
    1. Click on the Configure button.
    2. Right-click on the word Distribution, then left-click Manager.
    3. Click the down-arrow to the right of DEFAULT and choose EZYPATH1. This will set your path to C:\Data\EZY\ASX.
    4. Exit the Profile Manager screen and the Module Manager screen.
  13. Connect to the Internet then click the Catchup button. If you are using Windows XP you will most likely be asked if you want to accept communications by the "Bodhi ..." program. Make sure you answer Yes to this then close/kill Catchup and re-run. BodhiGold will now download and export the last 6-months of data to your hard drive.
    Congratulations, you have successfully configured BodhiGold and imported 6-months of data into a EzyChart (.ezy) format. From now on, you will only need to press the Catchup button in BodhiGold each night to retrieve the latest data. The free trial will run for 32-days after installation.

    Opening a chart in EzyChart
  1. Open EzyChart.
  2. Go to File>EzyChart Chart...

  3. The Open File dialog box will appear. If you have configured BodhiGold & EzyChart correctly, it should automatically open in your default directory and display all available exchange codes (i.e. AAI.EZY) in the left-hand box.
  4. Either enter a chart to view in the File Name: box or use the scroll bar below to scroll through the list then select one with your mouse.
  5. To open the chart, click the Open button. Your chart will now be displayed.
