Closing Prices

The Closing Prices Service comprises a set of daily exchange price files. Since closing price data is produced around the clock and in large volumes, we process and provide each market closing price file as soon as it becomes available. Consequently individual files are provided for a single market and a single market close date. A rolling 10 day period is available to clients at any given time. A file status browser web page allows clients to check availability at any time of the day.
The Closing Prices Service is divided into three regional time zones as follows –
¤ ASIA/PACIFIC [Estimated Availability in GMT - 08:00 to 16:00]
¤ EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) [Estimated Availability in GMT - 16:00 to 00:00]
¤ AMERICAS [Estimated Availability in GMT - 00:00 to 08:00]
Pricing is available by Exchange or by Continent.

| PRICE DATE | yyyy/mm/dd – real date of price – note this will not necessarily match the file date |
| OPEN | The first price of the trading day or session (can be derived, not necessarily the first trade/transaction) |
| CLOSE | The official close of the trading day or session (can be derived, not necessarily the last trade/transaction) |
| LOW | The day’s low price |
| HIGH | The day’s high price |
| LAST | The most recent (last) price of the trading day or session |
| TRADED VOLUME | The number of shares or contracts traded during the trading day or session |
| TRADED VALUE | Turnover – the value of the total volume of shares or contracts traded during the rading day or session |
| MID | London Stock Exchange only – the average of the bid/ask prices rounded up to the price format allowed for that tradable instrument or currency |
| BID | The buying price for securities in the market |
| ASK/OFFER | The selling price for securities in the market |
| MKT CLOSE DATE | yyyy/mm/dd – the trading date of the file |
