Depositary Receipts
An increasing number of companies, particularly those located in new developing economies, are raising capital from international investors through equity issues in the form of depositary receipts. Their effectiveness comes from their enhanced liquidity, meaning they are often more easily traded than the underlying shares. Depositary Receipts (DR) are a rapidly growing market, and therefore the need to have first class data on all available depositary receipts is essential.
For the past two and a half years, we have been providing specialised information for all Depositary Receipts. Our participation within the Depositary Receipt market started with a request from one of our clients to build a comprehensive database, covering not only the Depositary Receipts themselves, but also underlying stock descriptions and security codes. Clients of this service range from Front, Middle and Back Offices of Banks and Stockbrokers to Market Makers.
Our Universal Depositary Receipt Database is a unique service that provides comprehensive details on all ADRs, GDRs and other Depositary Receipts. This online database currently holds over 2,300 records and is updated on a daily basis. We also keep a separate database of over 700 Defunct DR's for historical purposes.
